Special Group Visits

We are very happy to make special arrangements for pre-booked groups of 10 - 25 people to visit the museum outside normal opening hours:

• Basic Group charge rates of  £5 per head apply

• Morning or evening visits can be arranged

 

Other facilities can also be arranged for special visits for an additional cost:

•  Refreshments of coffee/tea and biscuits on arrival

•  A short introductory talk to the museum/town (or a specific aspect of the same)

•  A guided walking tour of town or castle, before or after the visit

To book a morning or evening special group visit
Please fill in and submit a  contact form   giving the preferred date and time of the visit and approximate numbers.

You will then be contacted by email or phone to discuss the specific arrangements and other additional facilities before confirmation.

Group visits during normal opening hours 

It is always best for groups to pre-book, and preferably to visit out of normal hours, to avoid overcrowding in the museum.

​

However, small groups are welcome and an introductory talk can sometimes be pre-arranged for an additional cost.
